January 12, 2009 - New Year

Aiden started the New Year by chillin with his boyz, watching football, playing video games, and eating beer cheese. In reality, they spent the day crying, pooping, sleeping, and drinking milk. Kieran Towe (left) and Lane Brown (right) visited to help bring in the New Year.

Aiden has been working on his New Year's Resolution by going to the YMCA. He enjoys making rounds on the walking track with Lisa. At such a slow pace, Aiden often gets bored with the workout and falls asleep. Lisa stops often for rest breaks and kissing breaks.

Aiden is really doing well. He has changed so much and seems like a big boy to us now. Aiden weighs 12 lbs - 6 oz.

Aiden's last eye appointment went very well. Dr. Howell said that his blood vessel growth is growing in the correct direction. His next follow up appointment is in 4 more weeks, and hopefully, this will be the last Retinopathy check-up.

We did get the results back from Aiden's head ultrasound. Dr. Desai said there is some scar tissue in his brain (fairly common for micro-preemies). She told us not to worry. However, isn't that what parents do? Only time will tell if there is any impact on development.

Aiden is getting more active and smiling a lot more. He watches and focuses on more things and notices when we come in and leave his area. He likes it when Lisa sings to him, but cries when I sing to him (I'm not sure why?!).

We love our beautiful little boy! Look at that big ol' belly...

Keep Aiden in your prayers!
