Sunday, August 24, 2008 - 10 Weeks & 4 Big Ones

Aiden is doing fantastic. He is now 10 weeks old, and he broke the 4lb mark on Friday. Our little porker weighed in at 4 lbs - 5oz today. He's growing up fast. His whole body nearly fit in the palm of my hand when he was born, and now he is the length of my hand and forearm. He is 16.75" long (born at 12.25").

Aiden is doing very well with the low-flow cannula and the new warmer bed. Fortunately, the nurses rarely have to turn on the warmer. Lisa and I like the new bed because we can pester him more easily. For some reason he is always trying to sleep.

Keep praying for Aiden. We don't know when he will be able to go home, but it should be within a few weeks based upon the feedback we are getting from the nurses. We are getting really excited.

Glenn, Lisa, and Aiden,

Home...WOW, that sounds wonderful. So many people have prayed so hard for Aiden and his mommy and daddy but I truly believe that God has awesome plans for little Aiden and that he has his own special cheering section up above. I just want to say Thank You to you both for sharing this journey with us. I am so grateful that God brought you to our "little" church. We have truly been the ones that have been blessed.

Your Friends,
Randy, Melanie, Tyler, Dalton, and Noah Harris

I am so excited for you guys. It gives me cold chills thinking about it because believe me I know all the emotions you are going through. I can't believe how much weight he is gaing that is great, hope you have plenty of milk for that big guy to drink at home. Sounds like he'll need it. Jill and I were just talking last week about how much he has grown. Looking back at his pictures from birth to now he is huge. I am so happy for the both of you and look forward to meeting you soon.
Take care,
Tara

Lisa and Glenn,
I'm so glad Aiden is doing so well, what amazing milestones he has reached so far. He sure is a little fighter and an amazing miracle from God. He is never far from my thoughts and I pray often for Aiden!

Lisa,
Christian will be having Surgery on the 4th and will spend the night on the children's floor. I hope we get the chance to see you around. He has developed a hernia :( hopfully he will be going home the following day. Maybe we will bump into one another, or if you have a chance just come find his room :)
