On Saturday afternoon, we picked out Aiden's first Christmas tree at the Paris Band Christmas tree lot. Maybe next year we'll start the father and son tradition of hiking into the woods to cut down the perfect Christmas tree off our farm. On the way back from Christmas tree shopping, we decided to stop by Lisa's favorite coffee/sandwich shop, Vardens, in Paris. This was a special treat because we normally avoid public places. Aiden only gets out of the house for doctors' appointments. Since it was late in the afternoon, we were the only customers.
Aiden's eye appointment on Monday went very well. Dr. Howell said that he saw really good progress from the last visit. He reminded us that we still have to follow the progress of his eyes for ten more weeks. He was upbeat though and even made Aiden's next appointment three weeks out rather than two.

Lisa has been feeling a bit under the weather this week so Carol (GG as Aiden calls her) has stayed with us to help take care of Aiden. It's worked out great especially for Aiden. He is loving the extra attention. The shirt he's wearing says it all...Who needs Santa, when I have grandma. Seriously, we really appreciate the help she gave us this week.

With all the joy of the holidays, it can also be a time of sorrow for many. We want to take the time to remember a dear friend of our family, Harlene Erskine, who passed away this week. She was diagnosed with cancer just a few short months ago. Even in her final weeks, she was thinking of others. Harlene and her daughter, Kelly, recently gave Aiden this LL Bean pull over and many other nice things to wear from their home state of Maine.
Our hearts go out to the Erskine family during this difficult time. We ask that you keep the Erskine family in your prayers.
Keep Aiden in your prayers!
